Nurse Track: The Nursing Residency Program
Nursing offers a wide selection of specialty practice areas. To make sure you're on the right track, Sisters of Charity Providence Hospitals would like you to consider Nurse Track, an exceptional paid residency program designed to offer you a sample of "real world" nursing as you determine your professional practice interest.
Nurse Track is a 12-week program during which you'll be paired with skilled registered nurse preceptors in a variety of practice settings at Providence. You'll have the opportunity to practice nursing skills in a safe, supervised environment.
You'll enjoy a four week rotation on three patient care units. Your nurse preceptors will be available as a valuable resource as you learn to address multiple patient care needs. They will retain accountability for the care of assigned patients and guide you in considering relevant patient needs and developing care plans.
Who Can Apply for Nurse Track?
To apply for Nurse Track, you must:
Have completed the "Fundamentals of Nursing Practice" course;
Provide official transcripts from your current nursing program;
Provide at least two letters of recommendation from your nursing instructors;
Complete a personal interview with Nurse Track preceptors.
Apply between January 1 and March 15.
