NURSING OPPORTUNITIES | Nursing Units << Back Emergency Department Emergency Department Downtown campus Approximately 30,000 patients are seen annually at our Northeast campus, and we treat more than 17,000 patients annually at our downtown campus. The downtown Emergency department features 16 treatment rooms. The case mix at our downtown campus includes cardiac, orthopaedics and complex medical patients, with high volume and fast turnaround times. The ER is staffed with an award-winning nursing staff. We use the Hill-Rom nurse call and locator system. Northeast campus We treat more than 29,000 patients annually at our Northeast campus. The Northeast Emergency department features 13 treatment rooms and three fast track rooms. The case mix at the Northeast campus is comprised mostly of high volume, fast turnaround and low acuity patients. There are also OB services at the Northeast campus. Clinical Decision Unit (1 East) This is a newly renovated 18-bed observation unit for patients with chest pain and features a fast track admission and discharge unit. We use 12-lead EKGs from monitor. This is a fast-paced unit.
