Sisters of Charity Providence Hospitals offer several information and coloring sheets for elementary school students. We can also provide information and speakers on the different careers available in the health care profession.

Middle school students have the opportunity to shadow a Providence employee to learn more about professionals working in the hospital. We can also provide information and speakers on the different careers available in the health care profession.

High school students can also shadow hospital employees. In addition, we can provide information and speakers on different careers available in the health care profession. Providence is also proud to present its School-To-Work Program.

The School-To-Work Program partners Providence with local high schools to provide high school credits to students interested in health care careers. The program places students in health care areas of interest to work and earn credits.

Visit Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) for more information on career opportunities in health care.

Summer Educational Opportunities for Students

Providence Hospitals is proud to bring back two exciting summer programs for students in the Midlands. The programs will allow students to experience the health care profession first hand. CampMed 2008 will have two, two-day sessions beginning June 9 & 10 and again on June 12 & 13, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Pursuit is a two-week summer career internship program for rising high school juniors and seniors. Students will receive a small stipend upon completion of the program. Pursuit 2008 will have two, two-week sessions Monday through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., beginning on July 7 – 18 and again on July 21 – August 1.
