CAREERS & VOLUNTEERING | Volunteering at Providence Our Purpose At Sisters of Charity Providence Hospitals, a faith-based organization, volunteers promote and support the hospitals’ mission and goals. This includes a concern for the health care needs of the community; a recognition of the essential human dignity of all persons; a ministry to the sick, suffering and dying; and promoting new knowledge about health care. Volunteers assist staff in many areas of the hospitals on both campuses. They are an integral part of the health care team.
